Eco Construction and Building Services
Rathcorbally Construction have recently constructed a 4500sq ft new dwelling with a heat pump, underfloor heating and heat exchanger and achieved an Air tightness Final q50 result at 1.36 m3/h/m2 well below the current Building Regulations of 7 m3/h/m2 and also well below industry best practice of 3m3/h/m2 which resulted in a BER certification of A2. We have also just completed a 2500 sq ft new build dormer bungalow in Co. Meath Included air to water heat exchanger, house fully fitted kitchen and bathroom, Garage, Entrance gates, drive, landscaping, septic tank and well. Air tightness achieved was 1.66m3/h/m2 resulting in an A3 BER Certificate.
We are also currently constructing 2 separate classroom extensions which also require an air tightness membrane to archive a result better than 3m3/h/m2.
In order to achieve this an air tight membrane with seals to all building joints and opes is constructed with underfloor, wall, attic insulation and triple glazed windows installed to achieve an A rated building including installation of a heat pump and heat recovery system to provide heating and hot water.
